What is Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine?
Acupuncture is part of the ancient practice of traditional Chinese medicine. Acupuncture has more than 2000 acupuncture points on the human body. The actual practice of acupuncture involves placing thin needles into the skin on specific points of the body. Acupuncture points are used to stimulate the central nervous system. These release chemicals into the muscles, tendons and nerves. Most people experience minimal sensation as the needles are placed into the body.
Traditional Chinese Medicine is an ancient system of health and wellness that has been used in China for thousands of years, with its main focus being looking at a persons entire wellbeing. Chinese Medicine uses several practices including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, teas and powders, cupping, meditation and gua sha.

"Over the years, I have observed that many people turn to acupuncture as a last resort after exhausting all other options. If acupuncture were one of the first treatments considered, it could save significant pain, time, and effort." - Damian
